This remarkable website is a guide for the medically minded travellers who desire to learn the history of medicine through museums and exhibits. It was created by Julius P. Bonello, M.D., who was inspired by the book “A Traveler’s Guide to the History of Biology and Medicine” published by of Dr. Eric T. (Ted) Pengelley in 1986.
“…The idea of our work, and this resulting book, was based on the fact that very few people have much knowledge of biological and medical history, even less of their importance and significance, and less still of the places where the major events took place. This book, then, is both a historical guide and a geographical guide…”
Eric T. Pengelley & Daphne M. Pengelley
“... I hope this guide will enhance your studies and travels and ignite a passion for the rich history of medicine both in the United States and abroad, and may the remarkable discoveries of those who have ventured before propel you in your own quests to advance modern science and medicine...”
Julius P. Bonello, M.D.
